ORB - Offline Room Builder

ORB is a 32 bit windows application for building SMAUG area files. SMAUG is a multiuser dungeon (mud) code base derived from the MERC and DIKU muds.

ORB has many features that make building a breeze. Some of the more notable features are:

• Graphical interface for quickly creating, editing. and duplicating rooms, mobiles, objects, shops, resets, and area headers.
• ORB is totally independant of SMAUG. All building can be done without being connected to the internet. This is a great feature if you want to be an independant builder. No need to have anyone give you permissions or assign you a block of vnums.
• The renumber function allows you to fully renumber an area file or you may select to only renumber rooms, mobiles, and/or objects. All associated items such as resets are also renumbered at the same time.
• To help you see how your area looks, ORB provides a preview feature that makes it seem as if you are really online. OLC commands are being added to the preview feature for better control of your area.
• Both SMAUG formats can be read and written with ORB. You can even covert between the two area formats.
• ORB is capable of reading MERC and ROM area files and converting them to the SMAUG format without needing to edit the area file in advance
